Eliana has been battling brain cancer since she was 4.5 months old. She had to undergo a second brain surgery to remove new growth. The surgery was successful and went smooth until Eliana was taken to the E.R. at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for headache, dizziness and vomiting. She was given a CT scan where they found slight fluid increase in her brain from her past surgery. She was then transported via ambulance to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles so she could be with her team of doctors. By the next morning she was fighting for her life in the ICU and after a few hours were told she wouldn’t make it through the day. But little did they know how much fight Eliana really had! Later that evening, the doctors said she was stable! Eliana remained at the hospital for a longer period of time where more tests were performed. Her strong and loving parents sat by her side day in and day out. After a recent scan, the Georges family was very relieved to hear the words “She has just a bit of scar tissue.” After years of battling as an infant and pain and suffering a child should never have to face, The Georges family celebrate being team #Elianastrong.
